As part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 10, 2023 No. PP-330 «On measures to further improve the road sector» on February 15, 2024 between the Association of Consulting Engineers of Uzbekistan, the Committee for the Roads under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent State Transport University Cooperation agreements have been concluded. The agreements provide for joint training of specialists in the transport and road sectors on the application of FIDIC standard contract forms.

By this decree, independent consulting engineers have been identified as the main participants in the reform and further development of the road sector and their tasks include the implementation of engineering project management and technical control at road construction sites in accordance with the practice and documents of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).

The parties also signed a Roadmap for joint activities until 2028. During 2024, with the financing of the World Bank project, monthly trainings will be held for employees of the Committee of the Roads in the field of application of FIDIC contract forms.

The purpose of the training is to raise awareness among trainees participating and involved in infrastructure projects implemented under FIDIC contracts, as well as the procedures and rules that must be followed when implementing infrastructure projects under these contracts.
